From the Principal

It is a great privilege and honour to serve as Principal of St.Bridgids N.S Duagh, a vibrant and growing school, nestled in the heart of the village and serving the children and families of Duagh and its surrounding community. I am thrilled to be leading the school and our school family by building on its rich past while looking forward towards our bright and exciting future.

I am extremely fortunate and blessed to work with a staff who have a shared common goal and belief, that of providing a warm, happy and safe environment for the children in our care. I feel very lucky to work with such dedicated, energetic, compassionate and kind hearted Teachers and Special Needs Assistants. Our school motto "Cairdeas agus Comhar" underpins our warm and nurturing environment and provides a safe haven where everyone is valued and respected. We believe that a happy child is a successful child.

At the heart of school life in St.Bridgids Duagh are the children and their families who pass through our doors and bring life to our school. We are committed to our children and their families that we serve. Our vision and hope is for each child to develop a curiosity of learning, to encourage them to try new things, to promote a positive self image while travelling hand in hand with them on their journey as they grow in their love of learning. The parental support in St.Bridgids Duagh is invaluable and as a staff we very much appreciate the enormous contribution of our Board of Management and our Parents Council. The tremendous work, support and friendship binds our school community together while always having our children's best interest at heart.

To our families, thank you. Thank you for entrusting your wonderful children to our care. You chose us, you chose our fabulous school, you have placed your trust in us and for that we are eternally and extremely grateful. Your child is the reason we do what we do and we will continue to do with both love and hope in our hearts for them.

Ní neart go cur le chéile,

Kindest Regards,

Ciara.
